The apartment :<br />
We own a duplex on the 5th level of a walk-in building (no elevator). The apartment is about 80 square meters (900 square feet). It was newly renovated in 2002. It is a very Parisian apartment « under the roofs » with hardwood floors, white walls… There is 1 bedroom, 1 kitchen, 1 living room, 1 room to relax, 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets. It is perfect for 2 people, but can easily sleep 5.<br />

Downstairs : It has a big kitchen, fully equipped (oven, micro-wave, dish washer, expresso machine, … ) with a wood table that seats 4 to 6 people.<br />
There is a bedroom with a queen size bed, TV. Next to the bedroom is a small bathroom with shower and toilets.<br />
There is another room to relax with a single sofa bed, books and the stair going up.<br />
<br />
Upstairs : the living room is very comfortable, with a double sofa bed (futon). It feats everything you need (TV, VCR, DVD player, CD player …), and there is also the office (computer with high speed internet access).<br />
There is a large bathroom with tub, toilets, washing machine and dryer.<br />
<br />
The apartment is very quiet, as we live at the end of a dead-end street. It also gets plenty of sunlight and there is a nice view of the Parisian roofs (and a small part of the Eiffel Tower, quiet far!).The neighbors are very nice and helpful.<br />
<br />
A cleaning lady comes once a week.<br />
We own this apartment since 2001 and we like it very much. We ask that you take very good care of our home and we will do the very same in yours.<br />

The people :<br />
We are two female : C (36) is a psychologist and B (33) is a marketing manager in a French company.<br />
We have experienced twice exchanging home (San Francisco and NYC), and really enjoyed it. The people also loved their stay in Paris and found our apar

L’ambiente
We live in the 11th district of Paris, in a popular and trendy area, near the famous cemetery « Père Lachaise ». The place of La Bastille is less than 15 minute walk. There are lots of grocery stores, restaurants, bars… Oberkampf street is 5 min walk and is well known for its night life and gives you the opportunity to taste some nice restaurants.<br />
The area is quiet and safe.<br />
The metro station (Rue Saint Maur or Père Lachaise) is nearby (less than 5 minute walk), and takes you the center of Paris and the main attractions within 10-15 minutes (Seine banks, Notre Dame, Le Louvre, Montmartre, Saint Germain...) <br />
There are also several “velib†spot nearby (this is a new system of self care rent a bike, very trendy in Paris).<br />
